		Bergen is a one thousand years old harbor city at Norway's west coast.

		Ever since the Viking Age
stockfish has been Bergen's
		major export article, but nowadays the offshore oil industry is more important.

		Some of the old wooden houses at an
		old quay are preserved and now form the  tourist magnet
Bryggen.

		Bergen is sometimes called the city of seven mountains.
		Two of them are easily accessable for tourists;
Fl?yen by funicular and
Ulriken by cable car. Weather permitting they offer splendit
		views of the city and its surroundings.

		A harbor or fjord cruise on the vintage White Lady provides a nice seaside view
		of the area.

		Bergen supposedly is Norway's rainiest city, but when we visited in June 2013 and July 2014 we had plenty
		of sun and nice temperatures.
