		The archeological site
Huaca Pucclana is situated In the middle of the upscale district of Miraflores.
The ruins are the remains of
		the pre-Inca
Lima Culture from around 500 AD.

The walled complex has two sections, one is a 20 meters high piramid intended for
ceremonial purposes, the other part for housing and administrative purposes.

The construction used adobe bricks that were placed
vertically to minimize the impact of the frequent earthquakes.

Towards the back of the premises they have some flora and fauna
from that time on display, including the peculiar
Peruvian Hairless Dog.

We visited Huaca Pucclana in May 2008.
