The unpaved road on the south side of the Colca Canyon from Chivay to the Cruz del Condor observation point passes by a number
		of small old cities like
Yanque, Achoma and Maca.

Yanque is known for the male dance troups dressed as women in colorful
clothes, the tamed falcons and the little museum.

Everywhere the locals are more then willing to sell their
products to the droves of tourists that pass by on their way to the condor experience.

In between there are superb panoramas
of the rugged mountains and centuries old cultivated multi layered terrasses.

We went from Chivay to the Cruz del Condor and
		back in September 2010
