		The
World Expo from 2010 was the chance for Shanghai to show its new status as a world city with the theme   'Better City
		Better Life'

Everything was larger and bigger; the number of participating countries and organizations, the footprint,
the size of the pavillions, the number of visitors and of course the cost. And in the end Shanghai made a nice
		profit.

The fair took place on both sides of the Huangpu river between the Nanpu and Lupu bridge. The area was
rigorously  cleared from its old and dirty industries and housings and thousands of families were relocated.

		After
the fair the location was transformed into the Shanghai Expo Park.

We visited the expo in October 2010, a few weeks before
closure but still there were droves of visitors. When the doors finally closed, more than 73 million people had visited....
