With a length of almost 400 km and 230+ stations, the Moscow Metro ranks as one of the world's longest, and with 84 meters also
one of the deepest metro systems.

The first line was built in two years and opened to the public in 1935.

		The early Moscow Metro stations
are a main tourist attraction because they are built in the
Socialist Realism style with which Stalin wanted to demonstrate Soviet
superiority. Each station has a unique architectural style

In August 2019 we rode the Moscow Metro and checked out
		the following stations:

		-
Kiyevskaya from 1954 with mosaics
		that celebrate the Russian-Ukrainian unity.

And of course a statue or mural of Lenin is present in every station.
