The Cote d'Azur,
or French Riviera is the part of the Mediterranean coastline that stretches roughly from Toulon to the Italian
		border.

Once a playground for the wealthy stiff upper lip Brits, it is now also accessible to normal tourists, but
you have to bring serious money with you as it is not the cheapest of places.

The reason for the coast's popularity
is easy: Plenty of sunshine, nice temperatures, large stretches of beach, an Azur-blue Mediterranee and a relaxed way of living..

		Nice
is the largest city here but there are many smaller places that all offer the same winning formula of sun, beach, sea and a touch
		of the French "savoir vivre".

The Cote d'Azur is not completely French since it includes also the mundane ministate
of the principality of Monaco with its harbor loaded with expensive yachts of the world's richest.

		A railway along the coast
provides a  convenient way of transportation to the points of interest.
